CHILDREN’S DENTISTRY
We advise regular dental check-ups for children as soon as their first teeth begin to appear. We also often recommend parents bring them to family appointments so they can get used to the dental surroundings and get used to seeing a dentist. Regular dental appointments for children are very important to check on the development of their teeth and check their oral hygiene is effective.
Our dentists also offer preventative treatment such as fissure sealants. Fissure sealants are plastic coatings that are painted on to the grooves of the back teeth. The sealant forms a protective layer that keeps food and bacteria from getting stuck in the tiny grooves in the teeth and causing decay.
In addition, we also offer a fluoride varnish application (preventative treatment). Fluoride varnish provides extra protection against tooth decay when used in addition to brushing.
Our in-house Oral Health Educator is also available to provide Oral Health Education sessions which include tooth brushing and dietary advice.
