IMPLANTS

Dental implants are used to support one or many false teeth. It is a titanium screw that is placed into a jawbone – replacement for the root of the tooth that is missing. For example, due to extraction or trauma. They are safe and well-established treatments and with good care they should last you a lifetime. Therefore, how well you look after your implants – and whether you go for your regular maintenance appointments – will have the biggest impact on how long they will last.

From a patient’s perspective, placing an implant is often easier than taking a tooth out. After an implant is placed, they can be used as a foundation for a crown or a bridge or to stabilise a denture.

Dr. Ritesh Mody is available in-house to take referrals for dental implants.

Ritesh is one of the few dentists to hold two postgraduate degrees in dental implants and will ensure that you have a comfortable, natural looking replacement with minimum discomfort.
